I chose LJIC because it gave me more options to learn different areas rather than just hair only. You learn nails, the spa side of Cosmetology, and everything else.

Teacher Training Program FAQs

How long is your teacher training program?

Our teacher training program is 1000 hours or 2 years of consecutive experience in licensure discipline. It often follows our cosmetology program schedule or other classes, so training teachers work with our instructors and current students for real experience teaching in a classroom.

What are the prerequisites before applying?

Before you can apply for this program, you’ll need a current Cosmetology Arts and Science license prior to commencing the program.

When do classes start?

LJIC has classes starting every four weeks at each campus. However, not all programs start each month, and a minimum class size may be required for the program to start. For our teacher training program, classes often start a week before our next cosmetology start date.
