Patience is a virtue!
When was the exact moment Cienna Malone decided she wanted to be a Massage Therapist? She was attending classes for business at Hawkeye and wasn’t finding what she wanted to do with her life. So she visited La’ James International College in Cedar Falls because she heard about the A.A.S degree in Health and Beauty Management. She has now graduated from the Massage Therapy program and will be starting next week in the Esthetics program at LJIC.
“I have loved my time at LJIC! I have built relationships with my instructors and classmates. Originally I thought I would really struggle with the bookwork part of massage therapy but that all went away when I decided to trust myself.”
After finishing the Esthetics program at LJIC Cienna plans to complete her A.A.S. degree for Health and Beauty Management and may even be able to utilize some of those business credits from her time at Hawkeye! This will save Cienna time and tuition. After completing her schooling she plans to work in a Spa where she can utilize both her Massage Therapy License and her Esthetics License. On top of school; she is keeping busy planning a wedding and taking care of her two fur babies.
Cienna’s advice for others, “Patience, you have to have patience, you have to realize that you may not get that knot out the first massage visit. It might be the third or fourth visit with the client you are working on. You are helping to make a difference for the client in a way they feel.”
La’ James International College would like to congratulate Cienna on her graduation from Massage Therapy! We look forward to welcoming her into the Esthetics program.
