Best Decision of my Life!
Before starting school at La’ James International College in Fremont, NE, Elisabeth Rosno was a little lost in the world. After graduating high school she thought the next step in life was to attend traditional college. Elisabeth started in the Education program, however, after a year she felt it wasn’t right for her. She then began the nursing program where she became a CNA, “I loved taking care of people but after 6 months I felt the same feeling as I did before. NO Passion!”
Elisabeth was born and raised in Columbus, NE with her family who is involved in the Racing industry, “I was raised around cars and racing, I was ‘One of the Boys’ but I was still missing something. I found makeup and hair! It was like giving in to being a girly girl; I found my place and I love it!” Currently Elisabeth is getting certified in airbrush makeup and has attended the CND Path to Perfection Nail Certification and Satin Smooth Waxing Certification classes at LJIC. “I also went to America’s Beauty Show in Chicago! I loved seeing all the stages with platform artists; the demos were amazing! I just love Chicago!”
Elisabeth has loved the opportunities that LJIC has offered her as a student but what she has been amazed by is how much her parents and support team have grown with her in the career. “Originally my parents thought I could not make money as a Cosmetologist but now they see how passionate I am about hair and makeup and they see the dedication I have and it is more than either of us expected!”
“My plans for the future are to rent my own space in Columbus. I have a large family and a large network of people that I know through the racing community that I have been growing my client base through!” Elisabeth’s advice to future students, “GO FOR IT!! I wasted so much time waiting for what I wanted. I FINALLY chose my PASSION! My support system was everything! This was theBest Decision of my LIFE!”
