Meet Katelin from our Cedar Rapids Campus

“Hi! I’m Katelin! I’m 27 years old and I attend La James International College in Cedar Rapids for Esthetics. I have a 2-year-old son, Mars, that is my entire world and the reason I am working so hard on building a future for him and I.

 

I chose this field after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2022. I lost all my hair on my head, eyebrows, and eye lashes. It really makes you appreciate those things when they are gone. Now I get to be there for people that have shared the same struggles I did. It truly is a blessing to be in this career field and make women and men feel confident!

 

My favorite services to perform are lash extensions, lash lifts/tints, brow laminations/tints, and waxing.

 

My future goals are to gain a loyal clientele and take training courses on micro blading and laser services! Eventually I want to work my way into a Med Spa. My advice to future students would be to trust timing and never give up on something you are passionate about.”
