Spring Break Week at La’ James International College

We are so excited for Spring Break! We have been looking forward to it for a long time, and we have so many great activities planned. Beginning the week of April 27th, we are opening our doors for a full week of career exploration, hands-on insight, and personalized guidance during this Spring Break Week celebration! This week was organized for prospective La’ James International College (LJIC) students, and current students, and families. The week will feature Open Houses, an Industry Career Fair, FAFSA Help Night, and individualized Meet & Greets!

Whether you’re exploring a career in cosmetology, esthetics, massage therapy, or nail technology, this Spring Break Week will offer multiple ways to experience what life at LJIC is really like – and what a future in the health and beauty industry could look like for you.

La’ James International College Open House

Tuesday, April 28th – Thursday, April 30th | 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Throughout Spring Break Week, we will host Open Houses from Tuesday through Thursday, giving visitors an inside look at campus life and daily training experiences.

During Open House hours, prospective students and their families can:

• Tour the campus and classroom facilities
• Observe live instruction and student clinic work
• Meet instructors and current students
• Learn about each program’s curriculum and structure
• Ask questions about licensing, career paths, and job placement support

These sessions are designed to provide a realistic and transparent look at what it means to train in the health and beauty field. Visitors can explore the creative and technical sides of each program while gaining clarity on schedules, expectations, and long-term opportunities.

For many attendees, an Open House is the first step toward determining whether a career in beauty and wellness aligns with their personal goals, strengths, and interests. Our LJIC team is available throughout the event to answer questions and provide guidance tailored to each individual.

La’ James International College Industry Career Fair

Thursday, April 30th | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

As part of this Spring Break Week, we will also host an Industry Career Fair on Thursday, April 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This event brings together salon owners, spa managers, and hiring professionals from across the region to connect directly with students and prospective students. The goal is straightforward: to bridge the gap between education and employment by fostering meaningful conversations about real-world career opportunities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Network with local industry leaders
• Learn what employers look for in new graduates
• Ask questions about compensation, work environments, and career advancement
• Explore employment pathways in salons, spas, medical aesthetics, and beyond

The Career Fair is open to current LJIC students as well as individuals considering enrollment. For prospective students, it provides valuable insight into the demand for skilled professionals and the variety of career trajectories available after graduation.

FAFSA Help Night

Thursday, April 30th | 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday evening, April 30th, we will host a FAFSA Help Night from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering personalized support for students and families navigating the financial aid process.

Paying for education can feel overwhelming – but it doesn’t have to be. FAFSA Help Night is designed to make financial aid more approachable, transparent, and manageable.

During this event, attendees can receive:

• One-on-one assistance in completing or understanding the FAFSA
• Guidance on available financial aid options
• Clarification on timelines and next steps
• Support in preparing for enrollment

This event is open to anyone exploring educational opportunities at LJIC. Whether you are just starting to research programs or are ready to enroll, the financial aid team is available to help you move forward with confidence.

One-on-One Meet & Greets

Monday, April 27th through Saturday, May 2nd | By Appointment

For prospective students who prefer a quieter, more personalized experience, Spring Break Week also includes scheduled one-on-one Meet & Greets on Monday, Friday, and Saturday.

These individualized visits allow students to:

• Connect personally with career planners
• Meet ambassador students
• Discuss individual goals and interests
• Receive tailored program recommendations
• Ask detailed questions in a focused setting

Meet & Greets are ideal for students who want dedicated time and attention without the larger group setting of an Open House. Conversations are tailored to the visitor’s career aspirations, availability, and long-term plans.

Appointments are scheduled in advance, with an LJIC team member reaching out directly to coordinate a convenient time.
