What has been your most memorable moment while in Cosmetology school?:
“Being a Model for Tanya, Jackie and Shantina for the CBI Competition in Des Moines. “
What advice would you give to new students?:
“Be on time! If you’re late 3 times a week, that’s 45 minutes a week and 4 hours a month of time that you’ll have to make up.”

What inspired you to pursue a career in the Health & Beauty Industry?:
“Watching movies, shows & looking at pictures motivated me to try! With practice, I became good & began to challenge myself!”
What are your plans for the future?:
“To get my Associates Degree in Health & Beauty Management & to someday own my own salon & travel.“

“Going to Trend Vision and feeling all the positive energy & excitement of all the amazing, talented stylists! 2016 was the year that I should have failed and broken down with unexpected life events, but instead it pushed me harder to succeed and to not let anyone kill my SHINE!”

“While in school for nursing, I realized I wanted to do something related to my creative spirit! COSMETOLOGY!”

“Realize that in order to achieve your goals, you have to work hard! Try your best to show up & learn to take time for yourself.”

“I always wanted to do it! I was unhappy in my current job so I finally decided to just go for it!”

“The first day of texture class and wrapping perms, Mrs. Dierks told me I was a natural.”
