La’ James International College – Cedar Rapids Campus has successfully passed an on-site NACCAS Accreditation visit with a perfect score. NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national agency for the institutional accreditation of postsecondary schools and departments of cosmetology arts and sciences. Accreditation means that a school as met national standards of educational performance and gives credibility to the quality of education a college delivers.

A team of evaluators visited the campus on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 and assessed performance standards that met NACCAS standards & Criteria. The visit covered educational objectives and institutional evaluation, instructional staff, administrative services, admissions policies and procedures, student support services, curriculum, financial practices and management, instructional space and facilities and evaluation of students. The team much admired the beautiful facility in Lindale Mall and found the campus to be compliant in all areas with no limitations.

The Cedar Rapids Campus style is classified as, “Urban Organic” with accents of earth tones, natural stone, and polished cement. When uncovering the cement it was discovered that parts of the original “Lindale Plaza” known years ago before renovating it to a mall setting still existed. We found parts of the original walkways, which can be visibly seen.

The Salon clinic area is equipped with stainless steel stations, which can be moved to create room for large gatherings, classes or events. The salon clinic area also provides a dryer lounge for privacy and relaxation.

Off of the Salon clinic area there is a shampoo bar area equipped with two styles of shampoo bowls which provides our students with experience in the traditional stand beside or European stand-behind cleansing.

The Spa clinic offers relaxing pedicures with deep bowls filled with hot stones that offer a true day spa experience. Our spa offers the newest design of mystic tan HD, giving you a thorough tan that lasts for days.

We offer private treatment rooms for microdermabrasion, waxing, facials & body treatments. You can relax under the stars in our Tuscany Day Spa rooms as a couple, with a group or by yourself.

After a day of pampering in our salon or spa don’t forget to visit our boutique-style store offering an array of professional products for hair, skin & nails.
