The sock bun is a classic hairstyle inspired by 1960s fashion. Show it off with a silky dress or long flowing gown to complete the look. It’s a great way to add some extra poof to your hair without going into frizz overload. All you need is a strong ponytail and the drive to master a new skill. No sock required!

Elegant and regal, you will be the talk of the room when you walk in with a perfectly round sphere on your head. It’s like giving yourself your very own crown. Learn how to pull off a sock bun like the pros with these four simple steps:

Step 1: Start by combing your hair into a high ponytail. Then tip the head forward and let your hair fall in all directions around the base of the ponytail.

Step 2: Pick up a small section of hair and begin back combing. Then Roll the section under (towards your forehead) and secure with a bobby pin.

Step 3: Continue around till you have formed a bun with all the hair.

Step 4: Pull the hair lightly & separate your sectionsto hide any holes. Finish with a little hairspray.
