“I’m one hairdresser with the strength of TEN THOUSAND!!!” That’s a quote from Travis Gluesing. Here’s another one… “Hair. I absolutely love hair!”
Travis is scheduled to graduate from La’ James International College this month, his future looks bright and for good reason, his enthusiasm and positive attitude is overwhelming.
Travis has had great success retaining clients in LJIC’s Fort Dodge salon. He credits this success to his focus on elite service andhard work. He stays late, makes sacrifices, and works tirelessly to ensure his future is filled with all that it should be.
“I have lots of regulars, lots of referrals, and lots of retail [sales],” he tells us. “I absolutely love life behind the chair.”
And Travis’s customers love him too. At least that’s what Stephanie Wood, Director at La’ James International College says:
“His humor is refreshing, but he’s still professional and friendly. That’s the mark of a winning personality in this industry. We’re excited for Travis to represent LJIC out in the community. He’s taken advantage of all the great instructors at La’ James International College. He’s going to move up fast.”
Ready, set… AMES!
Upon completion of LJIC’s cosmetology program, Travis is taking his talents to Ames, Iowa and he’s already lined up employment atMaster Cuts in North Grand Mall.
“I’m excited to be in a new city. I like the diversity,” Travis says. “I’m excited to start my career. I’m excited to serve.”
The lessons Travis has learned in cosmetology school are too many to number, but he does have a few words of advice for incoming students.
“Take pride in your industry. Love people. Have self-respect and look your best behind the chair. You are your best advertisement! Beauty starts with self-esteem.”
