It’s never too late to take ACTION and pursue your DREAM!!

Cosmetology student, Collin Hilgenberg, from La’ James International College in Des Moineshad always wanted to pursue a career in Cosmetology, though it took him awhile to get here. “I had worked in the food service industry for many years in Texas and Iowa and one day I realized that was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.” Collin knew he wanted to help people to feel and be their best self! Collin then enrolled at LJIC and became a full time student in March of 2016!

While attending LJIC, Collin has LOVED learning more about the industry and the opportunities it provides! “Cosmetology is such a huge field and the more I learn, the more I know this is where I want to be!” Collin’s LOVE for LJIC goes beyond the classroom as well! He has recently started going LIVE on Facebook and sharing all the activities and events he’s participated in while attending LJIC!

“The Live videos give me an outlet to share the WONDERFUL activities and opportunities LJIC has to offer that I’ve been involved with!” Collin is really excited about going LIVE during LJIC’s annualTrend Vision event and competition in October!! “I can’t wait for Trend Vision this year! I’ve heard so many exciting things about it and want to share what fun it is!” Collin will even be competing this year at Trend Vision! “I’m looking forward to the Inspiration challenge and showing off my talent and creativity!”

The most important thing Collin has found from attending LJIC is how he can help others look and feel their best with his inspiration and creativity! “Everybody struggles with finding their own talent and overcoming obstacles; Cosmetology school has really helped me develop my talent!” Though it has been difficult at times, he knows this is exactly where he needs to be! Collin credits having a positive outlook on life with helping him achieve his goals, “whenever I think about the negative things or when people try to discredit my achievements, I just remember one thing, ‘don’t be bitter; be better!’” You can find Collin on Facebook and follow his LIVE videos!
