Pamper your tired feet with a quick and easy DIY relaxing massage. In our tutorial, you’ll receive instructions for a simple step-by-step foot massage, and helpful tips to make it a spa-like experience.

How to give a good foot massage: A step-by-step guide

Today’s TuesTorial is great because you can either do it on yourself or give to a lucky friend! Who doesn’t appreciate a soothing foot massage after a long day on your feet? Everyone does! So, the next time your feet are tired, relax with these fantastic tips from Ashley Waggoner & Karina Garcia.(Students from our Cosmetology program at La’ James International College).

Items needed

Gear up for a rejuvenating foot massage – here’s your checklist:

  • Gentle Sanitizer
  • Lotion
  • Worn out & tired Feet!

How to do it?

  • Step 1

Begin by applying a gentle sanitizer to both your hands & the foot. Karina is using CND Cool Blue Sanitizer on classmate Ashley.

  • Step 2

Next grab your favorite lotion or body cream. Always put the product in your hands first. & warm it up by rubbing your hands together. Then apply to the foot, down the leg & back up with firm pressure & long sweeping motions. Karina & Ashley are using their favorite CND Earth Hydrating Lotion.

  • Step 3

Use your knuckles, fingertips and/or palms to massage up the calf.

  • Step 4

With your thumb and index finger, gently pull and rotate each toe. Rotate 3 times to the right & then 3 times to the left.

  • Step 5

Next, use firm pressure & your thumbs in a circular motion to massage the bottom of the foot. “Up & out, up & out”… starting at the heel and working your way up the foot. This is very beneficial & feels amazing since most nerve endings are at the bottom of the foot.

  • Step 6

Continue with your circular motions… “Up & out, up & out”, all the way to the back of the toes.

  • Step 7

Next, gently flex the foot down and sweep your hands up the foot towards the toes.

  • Step 8

Finish by sweeping right off the toes. Repeat step 7 & 8. Once the massage is complete, repeat on the other foot.

  • Optional Step 9

Convincing your friend that it’s your turn for the relaxing foot massage! 🙂
